Awards Ceremony Celebrates Leadership and Academic Achievement

The achievements of the Class of 2026 and underclass students were celebrated at the Upper School Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 29 in the Rollins-Luetkemeyer Athletic Center.

In her opening remarks, Head of Upper School Merritt Livermore ‘91 congratulated every student on their work, commitment, and perseverance throughout the year. She addressed the students who showed up after a hard week, who chose kindness when no one was watching, and those who tried something that scared them, saying, “I see you, too. The quiet victories don't come with awards, but the growth is real, and it matters.”

The ceremony continued with the presentation of leadership awards and the induction of members of the Classes of 2026 and 2027 into the McDonogh Chapter of the Cum Laude Society. The inductees joined 18 seniors who, in 2025, became members of the prestigious honor society, which recognizes academic achievement grounded in character, honesty, and integrity. The Cum Laude induction was followed by the presentation of departmental awards.
