Reunion Weekend: A Celebration of Connection and Community

Reunion Weekend 2026 offered ample opportunities for alumni to reconnect, reminisce, and rediscover campus. From April 24–26, more than 550 alumni and guests returned to McDonogh, bringing a special energy to a weekend filled with celebration and community.

The festivities began on Friday when alumni gathered in Tagart Chapel for a memorial service remembering those we have lost. Then, the Athletics Department celebrated 50 years of coeducation at McDonogh with a tribute to alumnae athletes during the varsity girls lacrosse game. The evening brought alumni together in the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Middle School for a lively Cocktail Party. There, Mya Christian ’16 was presented with the Young Alumni Award, and Rob Young ’86 received the Board of Trustees Distinguished Service Award.

Saturday’s events began with the Half Century Club Induction Ceremony, recognizing alumni who have reached their 50th reunion. Following a walking tour of campus, alumni and their families gathered in Paterakis Hall for the always-anticipated Crab Feast and Family Picnic.

As the day turned to evening, reunion celebrations took place for classes ending in 1s and 6s, with the Class of 1976 marking its 50th Reunion in memorable fashion. The weekend closed on Sunday with two events hosted by the McDonogh Black Alumni Committee — a Senior Send-Off celebrating Black students as they prepare for graduation, and brunch at Mama’s On The Half Shell in Owings Mills.

Throughout the weekend, the spirit of McDonogh was on full display!
