Fourth Graders Harvest Potatoes
Fourth graders ventured to Roots Farm on Wednesday, September 16, to harvest potatoes. Most of the spuds will be donated to the Maryland Food Bank, with the rest used in our dining hall for a truly farm-to-table meal. With an 800-acre campus as an extension of the classroom, students get their hands in the dirt and see firsthand where their food comes from and what it takes to grow it.
