Girls Win Soccer Championship

Congratulations to McDonogh’s Girls Soccer team on winning the IAAM “A” Conference Championship title for the third consecutive year. The No. 1 ranked Eagles took on No. 11 Notre Dame Prep in a rematch of last year’s championship game. The title game held at CCBC-Essex on Sunday, November 1 ended with a score of 4-0. Read more about the game in the Baltimore Sun.

One of the many players who contributed to the soccer victory is senior Savannah B. Savannah is featured in a USA Today article not only for her efforts in soccer, but also on the basketball court and lacrosse field. According to the article, so far she has played in a championship game every season since she began high school. The three-sport athlete will only play one sport when she goes to Notre Dame next fall -- lacrosse.
