A Message from Alumni Association President
Emily MacGeorge Clark '90

Each time I drive onto campus, I have noticed that I exhale deeply, the kind of exhale that occurs after I get home from a long day or a long trip. It is the long exhale that says, “I’m glad to be home.” As I get close to campus, I look forward to that feeling. McDonogh is a very special place.

McDonogh was my second home for 12 years. It was the place where I learned, grew, and developed relationships with friends, teachers, and mentors. I found life lessons in the classrooms, on the athletic fields, and in the chapel. Visiting campus reminds me of the special memories created during my time as a student and as an alumna. I loved working on The Week in the basement of Jane Bay. I have fond remembrances of wins and even losses on the field hockey field. I got married in Target Chapel. These are just a few of the places on campus that are dear to me.

If you haven’t been to campus in a while, I encourage you to come back home to remember your favorite places and take in the new ones. The Rosenberg Campus Green, the Edward St. John Student Center, and Memorial Court are just some of the amazing new or newly renovated special places.

There are many alumni events on and off campus throughout the school year. I hope you will accept my invitation to join us for one or more of these excellent opportunities to reconnect. We look forward to seeing you soon!

McDonogh Forever!
